My Story
Greetings and welcome to Sunken Chest Woodworks! My name is Brandon, and I love to craft things out of wood. I enjoy all of the different ways that you can cut, mold, sculpt, and polish a piece of wood to craft it into something that you can cherish as your own.

I started woodworking as a hobby with minimal tools, zero experience, but a motivation to create something beautiful. My first project was a quilt-style piece of wall art that I created using only a miter saw and a router:

This piece of art still hangs in my home today and is a reminder of where I started and how much I have improved since then!
Completing this project not only brought me a sense of accomplishment but it also ignited my passion for crafting. I then went on to create a few practical items for my family and friends. Their enthusiastic response was truly gratifying.
Perhaps you're wondering about all the quilting-related items. Well, I have my amazing wife to thank for that! Quilting has been her passion for years, a skill passed down from her mother long before we met. When they needed some storage for their quilting rulers, I thought I'd try my hand at making some. As a novice woodworker, it was incredibly rewarding to create something both beautiful and practical that could actually help them. The positive feedback and encouragement I received really spurred me on. Since then, it's been a fantastic and creative adventure as we explore the world of quilting together!
My Goal
My aim is to provide you with the ideal accessory for your needs. There is no greater satisfaction than witnessing someone genuinely enjoy the pieces I create, and I work diligently to ensure that each item is the perfect fit for you.
